How To Use It

The following information outlines what you should expect when using the LUMI™ IPL device for the first time. Even if you have previously used an IPL device, we suggest you read the following recommendations. Should you have any further questions, please contact our Customer Care Department.

Before Using LUMI™

Before using LUMI™, we strongly suggest that you read the user manual (included in the LUMI™ packaging) in its entirety to achieve the best results. Your skin must be shaved, completely clean and dry before using LUMI™. Be sure to remove all makeup, creams, and any other products from your skin before starting a treatment session.

The following areas are treated effectively with LUMI™:

• Legs
• Underarms and arms
• Back and shoulders
• Chest
• Bikini line
• Feet

LUMI™ should not be used on the head, face, and neck.

Once you have plugged in the device, it will turn on automatically. You then have the option of selecting an intensity level between 1-6 that best fits your needs. Once the appropriate level has been chosen, simply press the Start button, wait for the Ready light to illuminate (about 2.5 seconds), and begin treatment.

In order to ensure your safety when using a new Disposable Lamp Cartridge, LUMI™ automatically locks the first 50 pulses at the lowest intensity level. After 50 pulses it will allow you to increase the intensity up to level 3. After 300 pulses, the device will unlock levels 4 and 5. Once you have reached 500 pulses, you will be able to use any of the 6 intensity levels. If you have already used several Disposable Lamp Cartridges and would prefer to start your sessions at a higher intensity level, please contact our Customer Care for assistance.

Place the Applicator evenly against your skin and press the Pulse button. If the Skin Tone Sensor determines that your skin tone is compatible with LUMI™, the unit will flash. Repeat this process until you have covered the desired area, making sure to avoid overlapping light pulses.

After each flash, you may feel a mild sensation of warmth and tingling when treating more sensitive areas.

These are only a few of the areas that you can easily and effectively treat with EvoDerma LUMI™.

After

After a treatment session with LUMI™, you will see hair fall out for a period of up to two weeks. This is the body's normal response as it discharges dead hair. For optimal results, you should always hydrate your skin after using LUMI™. The LUMINANTE™ Ultra Soothing and Moisturizing After Treatment Lotion is specifically made to provide you with thorough hydration after each treatment.

To achieve optimum hair reduction, it is suggested that you treat the desired area every two weeks.

• Please read the LUMI™ safety manual and follow the instructions carefully;
• Use the Skin Tone Chart to determine if LUMI™ is suited for your skin;
• Beautiful skin starts with healthy skin. EvoDerma recommends that you adequately protect your skin from the sun (SPF 50 or higher) at least 4 weeks before and after any treatment.
